The client’s direction for this spectacular home was was “modern, mountain, and rockstar.” The original architecture was exquisite, and the client wanted to keep that, so the project was more about highlighting the beauty that was already there through simple, elevated details with perfectly curated materials.
The existing atrium ceiling brought in natural sunlight, so we played that up with complementing hand-selected Carrera marble that reflected this light. The seamless, curbless shower featured heated floors, steam with aromatherapy, body sprays, rain shower head, and hand sprays. In order for the steam to function well, the shower needed a top, so we chose a glass top to further take advantage of the atrium ceiling skylights.
Custom gunmetal plating on plumbing features, custom wood floating vanities (created by Peppertree Cabinetry in Utah), pure white Cambria countertops, and a marble leafe mosaic shower surround were the finishing touches that made a subtle nod to nature.
